John McTernan's Insights

Below is a commentary by John McTernan as seen on his blog sight http://johnmcternansinsights.blogspot.com/

Daily Digest: February 1, 2010

Verse of The Day
Exodus 15:3 The LORD is a man of war:
the LORD is his name.
Commentary
Starting around November last year, I began to report about the signs of a huge Middle East war starting. I first noticed it when King Abdullah of Jordan spoke about the war. He said it would start over Jerusalem. Since then, nation after nation which will be involved in the Obadiah war are falling in line.
This war will turn the world upside down. The world economy will go into a tailspin as oil will go to hundreds of dollars per barrel. One of the goals of Iran is to wreck havoc with the oil shipping in the Persian Gulf. Israel will emerge victorious while entire Arab nations are going to disappear. Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt are going to cease to exist as nations. This is all clearly spelled out in the Bible. ALL the warning signs are there. Can you read them?
Last year Israel said it was ready for war. Islam hates Israel and wants it destroyed. This is driving these nations toward the war. Other Islamic nations will be drawn in.
Iran wants the war, just like Hitler wanted war. This war cannot be stopped by diplomacy. The war will start the countdown toward Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
"Jones was not talking out of the top of his head, but on the strength of solid US intelligence gathered over months on detailed war plans Iran, Syria, Hizballah and Hamas have drawn up to send five Hizballah brigades sweeping across the border to seize five sectors of Galilee, while also organizing a massive Israeli-Arab uprising against the Jewish state. Hamas would open a second front in the south and in the east. Syria is expected to step in at some stage."
"Hizbullah has in the last weeks deployed advanced Syrian-made surface-to-surface M-600 missiles on the territory of Lebanon. The missiles, which according to Jane's Defence Weekly are copies of the Iranian Fateh-110 system, have a range of 250 kilometers and carry a 500-kg warhead. They bring the entirety of central Israel within Hizbullah's range. The missiles are precision-guided, meaning that in the event of renewed conflict, Hizbullah would be able to use them to target military facilities or heavily populated areas."
Zechariah 12:6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.

Keep your eyes fixed on the Lord Jesus and His coming for the church. Your heart must be established on His coming or you could sink in fear. Prepare as God leads you because once this war starts, it will be too late to prepare. You might have very little time to prepare, do do not delay. If you want more information, see my book As America Has Done to Israel and the DVD: America and the Day of the LORD.
May the Holy God of Israel bless and protect you.
Israel and the Middle East War
'Iran will deliver telling blow to global powers on Feb. 11' 02/01/10 This date is the 30th anniversary of the Islamic revolution in Iran. Ahmadinejad may attempt to do something on this date.
Obadiah 1:18 And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.

Letters To President Bush

Many of us have been praying (at times more moaning) over our Presidents recent trip to Israel and his agenda to divide land in Israel and accomplish a Palestinian state. I recently became aware that he received two letters of opposite opinions prior to his recent trip to the Middle East.

One was from a group called Evangelicals for Social Action that wrote a letter to President Bush July 27, 2007 urging him to go forward with negotiations with both Israel and Palestine to create a new Palestinian state which would include the vast majority of the West Bank. The signatures on this letter included representatives of ministries such as World Vision, Christianity Today, many churches and seminaries. You can read the entire letter at their website:

On the opposite side the Sanhedrin, the ancient Jewish court of law, and the Temple Institute sent another letter to President Bush a few weeks prior to his visit to the Middle East. In this letter they warned President Bush about touching the land that belonged to Israel. You can read this letter on:

I have many reservations about the Sanhedrin because of their judging by the letter of the law which the Bible says killeth. They are gaining more control in the government of Israel and I really don't think that is a good thing for Israel. However, I do agree with them on this matter. America pressuring Israel to divide covenant land is a dangerous thing. I heard about this letter from Rabbi Moshe Laurie who is a Messianic Rabbi. According to him the Evangelicals won and President Bush has sold out Israel. I pray he is wrong or if he is right that the Lord will reverse what has been done. We are in a very critical time and we best intercede for this country.

Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Psalm 22:6-9 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure. 7 May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels." 8 For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, "Peace be within you." 9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.

As many of you know President Bush is in Israel trying to push forward his plan for Middle East Peace. This plan disturbs me more for the fate of our nation than it does Israel even though I am very concerned for the state of Israel.

The putting pressure on Israel to compromise their safety by giving up more land makes about as much sense as Congress letting all the known terrorist have the freedom to come and go across our borders. Hopefully we would not agree to such an act and I am praying that Bush will not force Israel to give their enemy more land. To think that giving up the West Bank will have a different result than giving up Gaza is ignorance gone to seed.

It is amazing to me how people can ignore the obvious facts and choose to believe a lie. This agreement will be as my friend Zoe saw years ago in a vision - the ink will disappear. There will be no peace. The word of God warned that there would be prophets crying "Peace, Peace and there will be no peace".

The Bible clearly shows that Israel is chosen by Him. He has judged them in the past for their spiritual adultery and idolatry. But He also kept His hand on a remnant and remained faithful to His word by bringing them back to the promised land. The fact remains that God chose Israel and He chose Jerusalem. It really is not as much about the people of Israel as it is the God of Israel. I don't want to touch that with a ten foot poll. "For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done [to Israel], it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head." Obadiah 1:15

This is why I am more concerned that America will reap the consequences of Bush's peace agreement. There has been a prophetic word that if America pushes to divide Israel then our land will be divided down the middle. There is a great article on the web by John McTernan that explains the tragic things American has already experienced as a result of our governments efforts in the Mid-East conflict. PRAY FOR THE PEACE OF JERUSALEM AND PRAY FOR PRESIDENT BUSH AND OUR NATION! LORD HAVE MERCY!!
