Pray For The Peace of Jerusalem

Psalm 22:6-9 Pray for the peace of Jerusalem: "May those who love you be secure. 7 May there be peace within your walls and security within your citadels." 8 For the sake of my brothers and friends, I will say, "Peace be within you." 9 For the sake of the house of the Lord our God, I will seek your prosperity.

As many of you know President Bush is in Israel trying to push forward his plan for Middle East Peace. This plan disturbs me more for the fate of our nation than it does Israel even though I am very concerned for the state of Israel.

The putting pressure on Israel to compromise their safety by giving up more land makes about as much sense as Congress letting all the known terrorist have the freedom to come and go across our borders. Hopefully we would not agree to such an act and I am praying that Bush will not force Israel to give their enemy more land. To think that giving up the West Bank will have a different result than giving up Gaza is ignorance gone to seed.

It is amazing to me how people can ignore the obvious facts and choose to believe a lie. This agreement will be as my friend Zoe saw years ago in a vision - the ink will disappear. There will be no peace. The word of God warned that there would be prophets crying "Peace, Peace and there will be no peace".

The Bible clearly shows that Israel is chosen by Him. He has judged them in the past for their spiritual adultery and idolatry. But He also kept His hand on a remnant and remained faithful to His word by bringing them back to the promised land. The fact remains that God chose Israel and He chose Jerusalem. It really is not as much about the people of Israel as it is the God of Israel. I don't want to touch that with a ten foot poll. "For the day of the LORD is near upon all the heathen: as thou hast done [to Israel], it shall be done unto thee: thy reward shall return upon thine own head." Obadiah 1:15

This is why I am more concerned that America will reap the consequences of Bush's peace agreement. There has been a prophetic word that if America pushes to divide Israel then our land will be divided down the middle. There is a great article on the web by John McTernan that explains the tragic things American has already experienced as a result of our governments efforts in the Mid-East conflict.
