America Truly is the Greatest Country in the World. Don’t Let Freedom Slip Away

By: Kitty Werthmann

What I am about to tell you is something you’ve probably never heard or
will ever read in history books.

I believe that I am an eyewitness to history. I cannot tell you that
Hitler took Austria by tanks and guns; it would distort history. We
elected him by a landslide – 98% of the vote. I’ve never read that in any
American publications. Everyone thinks that Hitler just rolled in with his
tanks and took Austria by force.

In 1938, Austria was in deep Depression. Nearly one-third of our workforce
was unemployed. We had 25% inflation and 25% bank loan interest rates.
Farmers and business people were declaring bankruptcy daily. Young people
were going from house to house begging for food. Not that they didn’t want
to work; there simply weren’t any jobs. My mother was a Christian woman
and believed in helping people in need. Every day we cooked a big kettle
of soup and baked bread to feed those poor, hungry people – about 30

The Communist Party and the National Socialist Party were fighting each
other. Blocks and blocks of cities like Vienna , Linz , and Graz were
destroyed. The people became desperate and petitioned the government to
let them decide what kind of government they wanted.

We looked to our neighbor on the north, Germany, where Hitler had been in
power since 1933. We had been told that they didn’t have unemployment or
crime, and they had a high standard of living. Nothing was ever said about
persecution of any group -- Jewish or otherwise. We were led to believe
that everyone was happy. We wanted the same way of life in Austria . We
were promised that a vote for Hitler would mean the end of unemployment
and help for the family. Hitler also said that businesses would be
assisted, and farmers would get their farms back. Ninety-eight percent of
the population voted to annexAustria to Germany and have Hitler for our

We were overjoyed, and for three days we danced in the streets and had
candlelight parades. The new government opened up big field kitchens and
everyone was fed.

After the election, German officials were appointed, and like a miracle,
we suddenly had law and order. Three or four weeks later, everyone was
employed. The government made sure that a lot of work was created through
the Public Work Service.

Hitler decided we should have equal rights for women. Before this, it was
a custom that married Austrian women did not work outside the home. An
able-bodied husband would be looked down on if he couldn’t support his
family. Many women in the teaching profession were elated that they could
retain the jobs they previously had been required to give up for marriage.

Hitler Targets Education – Eliminates Religious Instruction for Children:

Our education was nationalized. I attended a very good public school. The
population was predominantly Catholic, so we had religion in our schools.
The day we elected Hitler (March 13, 1938), I walked into my schoolroom to
find the crucifix replaced by Hitler’s picture hanging next to a Nazi
flag. Our teacher, a very devout woman, stood up and told the class we
wouldn’t pray or have religion anymore. Instead, we sang “Deutschland,
Deutschland, Uber Alles,” and had physical education.
Sunday became National Youth Day with compulsory attendance. Parents were
not pleased about the sudden change in curriculum. They were told that if
they did not send us, they would receive a stiff letter of warning the
first time. The second time they would be fined the equivalent of $300,
and the third time they would be subject to jail. The first two hours
consisted of political indoctrination. The rest of the day we had sports.
As time went along, we loved it. Oh, we had so much fun and got our sports
equipment free. We would go home and gleefully tell our parents about the
wonderful time we had.

My mother was very unhappy. When the next term started, she took me out of
public school and put me in a convent. I told her she couldn’t do that and
she told me that someday when I grew up, I would be grateful. There was a
very good curriculum, but hardly any fun – no sports, and no political
indoctrination. I hated it at first but felt I could tolerate it. Every
once in a while, on holidays, I went home. I would go back to my old
friends and ask what was going on and what they were doing. Their loose
lifestyle was very alarming to me. They lived without religion. By that
time unwed mothers were glorified for having a baby for Hitler. It seemed
strange to me that our society changed so suddenly. As time went along, I
realized what a great deed my mother did so that I wasn’t exposed to that
kind of humanistic philosophy.

Equal Rights Hits Home:

In 1939, the war started and a food bank was established. All food was
rationed and could only be purchased using food stamps. At the same time,
a full-employment law was passed which meant if you didn’t work, you didn’
t get a ration card, and if you didn’t have a card, you starved to death.
Women who stayed home to raise their families didn’t have any marketable
skills and often had to take jobs more suited for men.

Soon after this, the draft was implemented. It was compulsory for young
people, male and female, to give one year to the labor corps. During the
day, the girls worked on the farms, and at night they returned to their
barracks for military training just like the boys. They were trained to be
anti-aircraft gunners and participated in the signal corps. After the
labor corps, they were not discharged but were used in the front lines.
When I go back to Austria to visit my family and friends, most of these
women are emotional cripples because they just were not equipped to handle
the horrors of combat. Three months before I turned 18, I was severely
injured in an air raid attack. I nearly had a leg amputated, so I was
spared having to go into the labor corps and into military service.

Hitler Restructured the Family Through Daycare:

When the mothers had to go out into the work force, the government
immediately established child care centers. You could take your children
ages 4 weeks to school age and leave them there around-the-clock, 7 days a
week, under the total care of the government. The state raised a whole
generation of children. There were no motherly women to take care of the
children, just people highly trained in child psychology. By this time, no
one talked about equal rights. We knew we had been had.

Health Care and Small Business Suffer Under Government Controls:

Before Hitler, we had very good medical care. Many American doctors
trained at the University of Vienna . After Hitler, health care was
socialized, free for everyone. Doctors were salaried by the government.
The problem was, since it was free, the people were going to the doctors
for everything. When the good doctor arrived at his office at 8 a.m., 40
people were already waiting and, at the same time, the hospitals were
full. If you needed elective surgery, you had to wait a year or two for
your turn. There was no money for research as it was poured into
socialized medicine. Research at the medical schools literally stopped, so
the best doctors left Austria and emigrated to other countries.

As for healthcare, our tax rates went up to 80% of our income. Newlyweds
immediately received a $1,000 loan from the government to establish a
household. We had big programs for families. All day care and education
were free. High schools were taken over by the government and college
tuition was subsidized. Everyone was entitled to free handouts, such as
food stamps, clothing, and housing.

We had another agency designed to monitor business. My brother-in-law
owned a restaurant that had square tables. Government officials told him
he had to replace them with round tables because people might bump
themselves on the corners. Then they said he had to have additional
bathroom facilities. It was just a small dairy business with a snack bar.
He couldn’t meet all the demands. Soon, he went out of business. If the
government owned the large businesses and not many small ones existed, it
could be in control.

We had consumer protection. We were told how to shop and what to buy. Free
enterprise was essentially abolished. We had a planning agency specially
designed for farmers. The agents would go to the farms, count the
live-stock, then tell the farmers what to produce, and how to produce it.

“Mercy Killing” Redefined:

In 1944, I was a student teacher in a small village in the Alps . The
villagers were surrounded by mountain passes which, in the winter, were
closed off with snow, causing people to be isolated. So people
intermarried and offspring were sometimes retarded. When I arrived, I was
told there were 15 mentally retarded adults, but they were all useful and
did good manual work. I knew one, named Vincent, very well. He was a
janitor of the school. One day I looked out the window and saw Vincent and
others getting into a van. I asked my superior where they were going. She
said to an institution where the State Health Department would teach them
a trade, and to read and write. The families were required to sign papers
with a little clause that they could not visit for 6 months. They were
told visits would interfere with the program and might cause homesickness.
As time passed, letters started to dribble back saying these people died a
natural, merciful death. The villagers were not fooled. We suspected what
was happening. Those people left in excellent physical health and all died
within 6 months. We called this euthanasia.

The Final Steps - Gun Laws:

Next came gun registration. People were getting injured by guns. Hitler
said that the real way to catch criminals (we still had a few) was by
matching serial numbers on guns. Most citizens were law abiding and
dutifully marched to the police station to register their firearms. Not
long after-wards, the police said that it was best for everyone to turn in
their guns. The authorities already knew who had them, so it was futile
not to comply voluntarily.

No more freedom of speech. Anyone who said something against the
government was taken away. We knew many people who were arrested, not only
Jews, but also priests and ministers who spoke up.

Totalitarianism didn’t come quickly, it took 5 years from 1938 until 1943,
to realize full dictatorship in Austria . Had it happened overnight, my
countrymen would have fought to the last breath. Instead, we had creeping
gradualism. Now, our only weapons were broom handles. The whole idea
sounds almost unbelievable that the state, little by little eroded our

After World War II, Russian troops occupied Austria. Women were raped,
preteen to elderly. The press never wrote about this either. When the
Soviets left in 1955, they took everything that they could, dismantling
whole factories in the process. They sawed down whole orchards of fruit,
and what they couldn’t destroy, they burned. We called it The Burned
Earth. Most of the population barricaded themselves in their houses. Women
hid in their cellars for 6 weeks as the troops mobilized. Those who couldn’t,
paid the price. There is a monument in Vienna today, dedicated to
those women who were massacred by the Russians. This is an eye witness

Secrets Of The Kingdom by Neville Johnson

Reality or Just Knowledge

One of the problems that plague the church is that of enquiring knowledge without experiencing it. Many Christians feel that by acquiring knowledge of the bible has somehow made them more spiritually mature. This deception is so wide spread in the Body of Christ and is one of Satan’s prime deceptions that lull believers into deadly self-righteousness.

We cannot limit our experience in God to just what we understand

We have to first believe in order to truly see. Faith proceeds true understanding, we may not understand how God created the universe but we first have to believe that He did.

Hebrews 11:3    Through faith we understand that the worlds were framed by the word of God, so that things which are seen were not made of things which do appear.
So often Bible schools have just imparted knowledge to students, this leaves them with a lot of biblical knowledge which somehow is supposed to qualify them for ministry. So called revelation that does not lead us to reality or an encounter with the Lord only makes us more religious. These doctrinal standards without the internal reality lead to baroness. When we limit everything to our natural mind to keep us from deception we are already in deception. We cannot rely on our logic as a bastion against deception. The natural mind is an enemy of God. The Pharisees did not recognize the reality of Jesus as the messiah because they relied on their natural mind to interpret the scriptures.  The Apostle Paul prayed that we would our understanding enlightened.

Ephesians 1:18    The eyes of your understanding being enlightened; that ye may know what is the hope of his calling, and what the riches of the glory of his inheritance in the saints,
19    And what is the exceeding greatness of his power to us-ward who believe, according to the working of his mighty power,
The New Testament written in the Greek language uses two major words for the English word knowledge.

1 Corinthians 8:1    Now as touching things offered unto idols, we know that we all have knowledge. Knowledge puffeth up, but charity edifieth.
Here the Greek word for Knowledge is  Gnosis Which has the meaning of Natural Knowledge.  Another word for Knowledge in the Greek New Testament is found in I Timothy chapter two and verse four.

1 Timothy 2:4    Who will have all men to be saved, and to come unto the knowledge of the truth.
The word knowledge in this verse is the Greek word epignosis which comes from the Greek word epiginosko,  This word has the meaning of knowledge acquired by acquaintance or by encounter. It is not just a mental acquiring of knowledge,  it is knowledge acquired by encountering it.  One denotes intellectual knowledge gained through study, the other means Knowledge gained through revelation, a divine encounter. This encountering happens through an operation of the Holy Spirit called revelation.

Romans 10:2    For I bear them record that they have a zeal of God, but not according to knowledge.  (Not according to epi-gnosis knowledge derived though a divine encounter.
Ephesians 1:17    That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him: epi-gnosis.
Colossians 3:10    And have put on the new man, which is renewed in knowledge after the image of him that created him: (epi-gnosis)
You can only become like Jesus through divine encounters with Him. The new creation man can only be put on through revelation of who He Jesus is and what He is like.

Revelation in essence is light, it is a power and this encounter with light and power changes us. Intellectual knowledge does not have the power to change you into the likeness of Jesus. We need an encounter with light in the person of Jesus.

All things of spiritual worth comes to us this way

2 Peter 1:3    According as his divine power hath given unto us all things that pertain unto life and godliness, through the knowledge (epi-gnosis) of him that hath called us to glory and virtue:
Many are like those described by the Apostle Paul to Timothy.  2 Timothy 3:7  Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge (epignosis) of the truth.  We can continue to acquire knowledge, but never experiencing that knowledge never having an encounter with the truth. It is only in the encounter that truth becomes part of us, part of who we are.

We need to develop a hunger for reality

We can be inspired to have a walk with God like those in the bible and those who we may have and come to know as those who walk with God. You may not understand how these people can walk with God as they do. We may not understand even the theology or how from a biblical point of view they can walk with God and experience Him the way they do. But we need to remember that believing comes before knowing, Hebrews 11:3

If you believe you can have the same experience as those who have gone before us both as recorded in scriptures and through the testimonies of many throughout history, if you believe you can, you will come to understand by revelation which imparts faith to begin to enter in.  To know God opens the door for you to become like Him and express or reveal Him to this world.

2 Corinthians 4:6     For God, who commanded the light to shine out of darkness, hath shined in our hearts, to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Jesus Christ.
When we encounter the Lord and come to know what He is like that same image same qualities can become yours.

Ephesians 1:17    That the God of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of glory, may give unto you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge (epignosis)of him:

Journey To Israel - Part 2

Our first tour day in Israel would start with an early rise, packing luggage into the bus and eating breakfast prior to 8am. The first day for me was probably the hardest mentally trying to adjust to being rushed through one site  to another and not having time to savor the moment. That was especially hard for those who had never been and had the sense they would never be back. For those physically challenged it was even worse since it took longer to get from one place to another. However, it is just something that could not be avoided and we had to accept in order to see all that we wanted to see. Grace conquered.

Our first stop was Caesarea which was built by Herod, but the residence of many of the Governors of Israel including Pontius Pilate and Festus.  They lived in this elaborately built place by the Mediterranean Sea and only went to Jerusalem about 3 times a year. This is where Paul came before Festus and appealed to Caesar(Acts 25). When we were there 20 years ago the theater was all that was there. Now there are acres of new discoveries.

While walking the area where the chariots would have raced and where the Olympics were held, a deep revelation of how the spilling of human blood was an over powering desire of satan and his kingdom of darkness.  Pilar, our guide, explained that the VIP seats were located where the chariots turned the curve which was the place the most blood was spattered. The word says "the life is in the blood". In mankind that life is the breath of God, Genesis 2:7, so no wonder satan hates it so. He especially hates those who are heirs of the kingdom of God. Satan hates anything or anyone God has claimed as his own. That is why there has been such a constant battle over Israel, especially Jerusalem, and his chosen people.

The second thing that I realized here was the fact that Israel is sitting on a large fault line and has had major earthquakes in the past. I knew there was an earthquake at the time of the Lord's death and graves were opened, but I somehow thought that was a supernatural event and not something that had occurred in the natural before. Revelation talks about the great city being divided by an earthquake and still it never dawned on me. We saw in Caesarea the first evidence of many major earthquakes and volcanic rocks that we would see all along our trip. A portion of this area is now under the sea from breaking off during an earthquake.

The third thing we got a hint of as we were ending our tour in Caesarea.  Pilar stopped and showed us a plaque that had a picture of a church built in the 6th century on the site of the ruins of Herod's temple. It was built in memory of a Christian martyr. She told us to look at it good and she would remind us in Jerusalem.

The next stop was on Mt Carmel where Elijah and the priest of baal took on a challenge as to who served the real God(1 Kings 18). As you stand on the top of Mt Carmel you look over the Jezreel Valley where the last big battle will occur as told about in Revelation.

Time for lunch! I had my first introduction to falafels which is made out of chickpeas. I was a little leary but quickly became hooked.  Of course it is all the good things you add to the falafel that makes it so wonderful.

After lunch we would visit the ruins of Megiddo which is mentioned in the old testiment from Joshua to Zechariah. From there we traveled to Nazareth. As I was passing through the town my thoughts went to the fact that it was Purim and remembered the young Messianic Jewish boy, son of a pastor, who received a bomb in a Purim basket left at their door steps several years ago.  I found out later that he was from Nazareth.

We went to the Village of Nazareth which is set up to give you an idea of what it was like in Jesus' day. Our guide was a young American girl who came over to volunteer because she had been there as a visitor the year before and wanted to be a part of teaching about Jesus in his home town.

I think the most impressive moment at the Village of Nazareth was sitting in the synagogue. It was like the synagogue that Jesus would have sat and as Luke 4 reads "And he stood up to read. 17 The scroll of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. Unrolling it, he found the place where it is written: 18 "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to release the oppressed, 19 to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." 20 Then he rolled up the scroll, gave it back to the attendant and sat down. The eyes of everyone in the synagogue were fastened on him, 21 and he began by saying to them, "Today this scripture is fulfilled in your hearing." 22 All spoke well of him and were amazed at the gracious words that came from his lips. "Isn't this Joseph's son?" they asked. 23 Jesus said to them, "Surely you will quote this proverb to me: 'Physician, heal yourself ! Do here in your hometown what we have heard that you did in Capernaum.' " 24 "I tell you the truth," he continued, "no prophet is accepted in his hometown. 25 I assure you that there were many widows in Israel in Elijah's time, when the sky was shut for three and a half years and there was a severe famine throughout the land. 26 Yet Elijah was not sent to any of them, but to a widow in Zarephath in the region of Sidon. 27 And there were many in Israel with leprosy in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed--only Naaman the Syrian." 28 All the people in the synagogue were furious when they heard this. 29 They got up, drove him out of the town, and took him to the brow of the hill on which the town was built, in order to throw him down the cliff. 30 But he walked right through the crowd and went on his way."

He went back to the place he had lived for nearly 30 years and they did not recognize their time of visitation and turned on Him to the point of trying to kill him.  He never returned to his home, how sad that is to me. They rejected him because they could not see beyond the fact that he was the son of Joseph, the carpenter.

The day was coming to a close and we came to Tiberias to stay for the next two nights on the edge of the Galilee.

The State of the Nations

With the passing of President Obama’s Health Reform Bill the USA has descended into a new level of darkness in its progress towards a socialistic society. The question needs to be asked, why has God allowed this?  The blame can only be laid at the feet of the church. Jesus clearly taught that the state of a Nation has to do with the condition of the church in that Nation.

Matthew 5:13  Ye are the salt of the earth: but if the salt have lost his savour, wherewith shall it be salted? it is thenceforth good for nothing, but to be cast out, and to be trodden under foot of men.

God destroyed the twin cities of Sodom and Gomorrah because there was not enough salt to save those cities.

Genesis 18:23    And Abraham drew near, and said, Wilt thou also destroy the righteous with the wicked?
24    Peradventure there be fifty righteous within the city: wilt thou also destroy and not spare the place for the fifty righteous that are therein?
This judgment should become a wakeup call to the church, and yes it is Gods judgment upon the Nation. The Obama administration has been allowed by God as judgment upon the USA and this judgment has now to be endured for a season.

When the church loses its savour or righteousness it opens the door to be trodden underfoot by Godless Governments, History is abounds with this principle. Many in the church will be asking what now? True Repentance is now needed. Just as Daniel who was innocent and had nothing to do with the conquest of Israel by a Godless Babylonian Empire, prayed on behalf of the Nation taking responsibility. So you must do the same.

Daniel 9:4    And I prayed unto the LORD my God, and made my confession, and said, O Lord, the great and dreadful God, keeping the covenant and mercy to them that love him, and to them that keep his commandments;
5    We have sinned, and have committed iniquity, and have done wickedly, and have rebelled, even by departing from thy precepts and from thy judgments:
6    Neither have we hearkened unto thy servants the prophets, which spake in thy name to our kings, our princes, and our fathers, and to all the people of the land.
The church in the USA needs to pray for God’s mercy and a change of Government; you need to ask God to put in place a righteous government when the Obama term is up.

The church also needs to fervently pray concerning the US Government’s attitude towards Israel

One of the most powerful and sobering declarations in scripture is found in Gen 12.

Genesis 12:2    And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing:
3    And I will bless them that bless thee, and curse him that curseth thee: and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed.
God clearly tell us that He God will bless those who bless Israel, and conversely He God will curse those who curse Israel. Ignoring this one verse in scripture has been the downfall of many nations and individuals. The rise and fall of many empires can be attributed to at least in part to refusing to acknowledge the warning of this verse of scripture.  The recent visit of the Vice President of the USA Joe Biden to Israel displayed ominous overtones in the present US Administration’s attitude to Israel. It is very clear that the US and the UN wants a solution to the Middle East Palestinian and Israeli situation, regardless of the cost to Israel. The present US administration is hell bent on dividing Jerusalem for the so called sake of peace.  Those who pressure Israel over this issue are headed for Judgment by God. This may seem extreme to some but you need to understand Israel is the Apple of Gods eye.

Deuteronomy 32:9    For the LORD'S portion is his people; Jacob is the lot of his inheritance.
10    He found him in a desert land, and in the waste howling wilderness; he led him about, he instructed him, he kept him as the apple of his eye.
Zechariah 2:7    Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.
8    For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.
9    For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.
Just before the hurricane that devastated New Orleans on August 29th 2005, the US Government of the day was pressuring Israel to divide their land.

Joel 3:2    I will also gather all nations, and will bring them down into the valley of Jehoshaphat, and will plead with them there for my people and for my heritage Israel, whom they have scattered among the nations, and parted my land.
The following information is an indication on how God intents to deal with those who seek to interfere with the rights of Israel to their God given land.

1. October 30, 1991
The Perfect Storm—As President George H. W. Bush is opening the Madrid (Spain) Conference to consider “land for peace” in Israel’s Middle East role, the “perfect storm” develops in the North Atlantic, creating the largest waves ever recorded in that region. The storm travels 1000 miles from “east to west” instead of the normal “west to east” pattern and crashes into the New England Coast. Thirty-five foot waves crash into the Kennebunkport home of President Bush.

2. August 23, 1992:
Hurricane Andrew—When the Madrid Conference moves to Washington DC and the peace talks resume, Hurricane Andrew, the worst natural disaster ever to hit America comes ashore and produces an estimated $30 billion in damage and leaving 180,000 homeless in Florida.

3. January 16, 1994:
Northridge Earthquake—President Bill Clinton meets with Syria's President Hafez el-Assad in Geneva. They talk about a peace agreement with Israel that includes giving up the Golan Heights. Within 24 hours, a powerful 6.9 earthquake rocks Southern California, This quake, centered in Northridge, becomes the second most destructive natural disaster to hit the United States, behind Hurricane Andrew,

4. January 21, 1998:
Lewinsky Scandal—Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu meets with President Clinton at the White House and is coldly received. Clinton and Secretary of State Madeleine Albright refused to have lunch with him. Shortly afterwards on that day, the Monica Lewinsky scandal breaks into the mass media and begins to occupy a major portion of Clinton's time.

5. September 28, 1998:
Hurricane George—As Secretary of State Albright works on the final details of an agreement in which Israel would give up 13 percent of  (Judah and Samaria), Hurricane George slams into the United States Gulf Coast with 110 mph winds and gusts up to 175 mph. The hurricane hits the coast and stalled. On September 28, Clinton meets with Yasser Arafat and Netanyahu at the White House to finalize this land deal. Later, Arafat addresses the United Nations about declaring an independent Palestinian state by May 1999, as Hurricane George pounds the Gulf Coast, causing $1 billion in damage. At the exact time that Arafat departs the country, the storm begins to dissipate.

6. October 15-22, 1998:
Texas Flooded—On October 15, 1998, Arafat and Netanyahu meet at the Wye River Plantation in Maryland. The talks are scheduled to last five days with the focus on Israel giving up 13 percent of Israel’s land. The talks are extended and conclude on October 23. On October 17, awesome rains and tornadoes hit southern Texas. The San Antonio area is deluged with rain. The rain and flooding in Texas continue until October 22 and then subside. The floods ravage 25 percent of Texas and leave over one billion dollars in damage. On October 21, Clinton declares this section of Texas a major disaster area.

7. November 30, 1998:
Market Capitalization Evaporates—Arafat comes to Washington again to meet with President Clinton to raise money for a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as the capital. A
total of 42 other nations were represented in Washington. All the nations agreed to give Arafat $3 billion in aid. Clinton promised $400 million, and the European nations $1.7 billion. On the same day, the Dow Jones average drops 216 points, and on December 1, the European Market had its third worst day in history. Hundreds of billions of market capitalization were wiped out in the U.S. and Europe.

8. December 12, 1998:
Clinton is Impeached—As Clinton lands in the Palestinian-controlled section of Israel to discuss the “land for peace” process, the House of Representatives votes four articles of impeachment against him.

9. May 3, 1999:
The Powerful Super Tornado—On the day that Yasser Arafat is scheduled to declare a Palestinian state with Jerusalem as the capital, the most powerful tornado storm system ever to hit the United States sweeps across Oklahoma and Kansas. The winds are clocked at 316 mph the fastest wind speed ever recorded. The declaration is postponed to December 1999 at the request of President Clinton, whose letter to Arafat encourages him in his "aspirations for his own land." He also writes that the Palestinians have a right to "determine their own future on their own land" and that they deserve to "live free, today, tomorrow and forever."

10. Week of October 11:
Hurricane, Earthquake and Dow Collapse—As Jewish settlers in 15 West Bank (Israel) settlements are evicted from the covenant land in Israel, the Dow-Jones financial averages lose 5.7 percent in the worst week since October 1989. On October 15 the Dow lost 266 points, and a hurricane slams into North Carolina. On the next morning, October 16, a magnitude 7.1 earthquake rocks the southwest in the fifth most powerful earthquake in 20th Century. The earthquake was centered in the California desert and did little damage but was felt in three states.

What more can be said? The USA is in grave danger of extreme judgment if it continues to pressure Israel to divide their land.  Three times over the past 5 years the Lord has clearly indicated to me that if the USA pressurizes Israel to divide their land, God will divide the USA. This probably will be in the form of a huge earthquake that will literally divide the USA.

America you may have lost the battle with the Godless Obama administration at least for now. But you must not lose the battle over the Obama administration forcing Israel to divide their land.

The church must pray and stand with Israel seeking God to have mercy avoiding the catastrophe that will come if the Obama administration forces the dividing of Jerusalem

God has a remnant

In the midst of all of this revival is still on Gods calendar for the USA and many other nations. God always has a Godly remnant and you will see revival braking out in many places, this will help stem the tide of darkness that is seeking to engulf the USA.

True revival could escalate to a degree that a new righteous president will be given to the Nation. God is very mindful of the harvest that will be reaped in these End-Times and once again the church can be become salt sanctifying the Nation as one people under God.

I have addressed this primarily to the USA, however this applies to all nations. Many of the Commonwealth Nations of the world are facing the same conditions in some degree in the church that America has experienced; the UK, Australia, New Zealand, Canada, and many European Nations.

2 Chronicles 7:14    If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

Journey To Israel

Mark 12:29 Noticing that Jesus had given them a good answer, he asked him, "Of all the commandments, which is the most important?" 29 "The most important one," answered Jesus, "is this: 'Hear, O Israel, the Lord our God, the Lord is one.

Fifteen or twenty years ago Chuck and I along with our youngest son, Chris, and my mom went to Israel for the first time. We all had great expectations but the trip for the most part was a disappointment especially to me.  The main thing that I wanted to come home with was a real understanding of the geography of the land where my Lord had lived and ministered. However, it snowed or rained the whole time we were there, causing us to have to make continuous route changes and cancel planned events.  The weather was so cold and wet that we could not see out of the fogged bus windows.  There was tension in the air and soldiers with huge guns were everywhere.  As American Christian tourists we were treated as if they wanted our money but our presence was not really welcome.  When I left I thought I would never want to return until the Lord put his feet again on the Mt of Olives. I kept a love for the land and people my Lord loves and prayed and stood for Israel, but lost the overwhelming desire to be there physically.

However, about two years ago the desire to return to Israel returned inside of me. The desire was not just for a visit but to stay awhile and really be a part of the land and the people that God chose for His own.  I have been waiting for connections to happen that would be the open door for the fulfillment of that dream, but it has not yet come.  Last year, when our pastors took a group I tried to go, but again it did not work out.   Then suddenly the end of last year it seemed to be the time and Chuck had a desire to go also. It was not going to be the long trip but it may be the first step.

The week prior to our leaving for Israel the Lord gave me the above scripture and also gave my friend Karen, who would be on this Journey with us, 2 Chron. 6:32-33. This increased the intensity of anticipation that the Lord was going to do some mighty things in our lives while there.  When I looked at the agenda that the tour company sent I noticed a pattern. The last four numbers of  the phone number of our first hotel was 5555, our second hotel in Tiberias was 8888 and our third hotel at the dead sea was 9999. Five means grace, 8 means new beginnings or resurrection and 9 means fruitfulness. There was no pattern once we got to Jerusalem but the last four numbers added up to 25 which means silver or redemption.  All this added up to a life changing adventure for us all.

Feb 23, 2010 we started our adventure to Israel from Charlotte. Five of us from our Church, Antioch International Church, left on the same flight heading to Newark where we would meet up with the rest of our team on this journey.

We had an easy flight to Newark, but we had to retrieve our bags and check in for our international flight. Since signs were nonexistant we went up and down, down and up until we finally got to the right desk to check in our luggage and get our boarding pass. Then it was through security once again and grab lunch.

We met up with our pastors, Peter & Joy, while eating and then once we got through the final security line we met the rest of the team.

We had a great group of 17 pilgrims to the Holy Land.  A family of four from Indiana, three ladies from TX, one lady from Charlotte and the rest of us were Church family.  The flight to Tel Aviv from Newark was over 11 hours and since there was a 7 hour time difference we were leaving mid afternoon in New York and arriving the next morning at 9:30 in Israel.  Many did not sleep on the flight, however, I did get some rest. Chuck did not sleep at all. But we made it safely and finally stepped onto the land of Israel.

After taking this picture of Karen and with much excitement and weariness we got our bags and followed the leader to our purple bus that would be our daily transportation.

After driving an hour we arrived at our first hotel which was right on the Mediterranean.  The view from our room was breath taking. We took a nap and then took a short walk on the beach, but it was very cold.

Our first meal gave us an introduction to Israeli food which I like a lot and our first time to really sit and fellowship with our companions for the next 10 days.  Israel has wonderful fresh vegetables and fruit that are grown on land that prior to 1948 was desolate. The land has bloomed thanks to the promises and blessings of God to the point that they supply a large portion of Europe.  From the first meal I became hooked on their salads especially the tomatoes and cucumbers.

With full stomachs we all headed to our rooms to try to get some sleep before our 6:30 am wake up call.

Secrets Of The Kingdom by Neville Johnson

Decision Time:  A Dream

On February 15th 2010 I had a dream in which I was an observer of a large company of people who has come to a set of crossroads. Four roads had met forming these cross roads and all the people had come down the same road and now faced four options. They had the option of proceeding right, forward or left or they could return from where they had come from. In this dream I was also aware of the Lord who also was observing this. I looked at the Lord and without speaking I conveyed to Him the thought of “what is going on here?”   Then I began to understand the meaning of this situation, there was no spoken communication between me and the Lord, but nevertheless there was very clear unspoken communication between us. There are times and seasons in God, some of these seasons are critical, some are optional, some are time sensitive and have far reaching ramifications. We need to understand the difference between the perfect will of God and the permissive will of God.

Romans 12:2    And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Life is full of choices and it is these choices that determine how we live our lives and how our lived end up. Many times we weave in and out of the perfect will of God resulting in our lives being a mix which limits us greatly in our walk with the Lord. The permissive will of God is that which God permits but is not His perfect will for us; this often results in the loss of many privileges and blessings. Our protection against the enemy is predicated upon you and I being in the perfect will of God, we are told to first submit ourselves to God before we can resist the enemy; James 4:7. Because we all have free will and the right to choose God permits Christians to continue in the permissive will of God albeit with limited aces to much of His grace and privileges. Living on this level is not sufficient to protect us from the encroaching darkness. The prophet Isaiah prophesied about these End –Times.

Isaiah 60:2
For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the LORD shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee.
This phrase “Gross Darkness” in the Hebrew language has the thought of dripping with thick darkness. In order to survive this darkness it is needful for us to be in the perfect will of God.

As I continued to observe what was happening in this dream I became aware that each road had a name. The road they walked down to get to the Cross Roads was called The Past. The road to the right was called Selfishness, the road to the left was called Fear and the road straight ahead was called Glory. I then began to see that some turned back and began to walk back to where they had come from these people could not leave the past behind and move on into new and greater things in God. Some began to turn to the left and go off in that direction, this primarily was because of fear. This fear was generated from not being able to trust the Lord with their lives and move on into the unknown, their lives were reasonably comfortable and they were not about to change or risk changing this. Others turned to the right and went down the road of selfishness, simply they wanted to do and go where they wanted, this selfish motivation determined their direction. Finally a group began to walk straight ahead and began walk up the street called Glory and I noticed that as they began to eagerly walk down this road it got lighter and lighter. I then turned to see the others who were walking down the other roads and as they walked it began to get darker. This encroaching darkness was very slow at first almost imperceptible but the darkness slowly increasing the further they went down the road. As I looked at these people upon whom the darkness was slowly encroaching the story of The Frog and the Kettle came to mind.

The Frog and the Kettle

A famous experiment was once conducted that involved placing a frog in a kettle of water. Don’t know who ever thought up this experiment, but it serves as an excellent illustration. If the frog was placed in a pot of boiling water, the frog would immediately jump out so as not to be scalded. Then the frog was placed in the water while it was yet cool. As the frog sat contently in the water, the water was heated one degree at a time. The frog adapted to the gradual changes in temperature until it boiled to death!

Many Christians today are not aware of the encroaching darkness and are adapting to it without even knowing.  Finally I became aware of the fact that what the Lord was showing me in this dream was Time Sensitive, in other words many Christians were being brought to a point of decision in their lives and their response to these decisions were limited in time. I had the distinct knowing that the time limit was the first quarter of this year. We need to be very carefully about the decisions we make over the next few months as they can affect the rest of our lives. We cannot afford to be in the permissive will of God.  God is now proving those who He can trust, over the next few years we will see moves of God and changes in the church unparalleled in history, and history will truly become His-Story reaching its fullness and glory in the few years that we have left.

THE TRUMPET by Bill Burns -- February 15, 2010

I have been sensing that 2010 was a year that we would see shifting and change happen in our lives.  There have been a number of confirmations and this is yet another.

For you, My people, are in a season of change.  There are things that will change in your life now.  Remain hopeful for those changes will all be for the better.  There will be changes that will come that will re-direct you; changes that will necessitate My wisdom; that will stretch your abilities.  But, I say unto you this day, I will be with you in these changes.  For I am the Lord your God who watches over all things, and I watch over you.  I know the thoughts that I have of you; the thoughts of good and not of evil.  So, when you find it necessary to make changes that will effect your life and to take on new responsibilities or to go in a new direction then worship, for I. the Lord God,  will lead and guide you.

Happy Birthday Andrew!!

I know you can't see Andrew's cute face, but this photo gives you a little insiight into Mr Andrew.  Today he turns 7 years old and is half way through first grade and reading at almost 3rd grade level.

Even though Andrew is very smart, he is also very active and loves playing outside. He is physically very strong for his age and build. As you can see he could not wait long enough to take off his PJ's to try out his new bike.  With that cowboy hat, I am thinking he should have gotten a pony instead.

Even though Andrew is a boys, boy he loves to praise the Lord.  He sings with as much energy as he plays.

I personally think his new hair do makes him  a Ty Pennington look a like. Only problem is he is at present more adapt to tearing up a room than building it.  Well, you have to start somewhere, right?

We have been away from MS all of Andrew's life. We have missed so much of his childhood already which we find sad.  However, we have watched him grow into a wonderful young boy and we love him so much. God must love him very much too. His birthday gift to Andrew is a day off school and snow on the grownd.

John McTernan's Insights

Below is a commentary by John McTernan as seen on his blog sight

Daily Digest: February 1, 2010

Verse of The Day
Exodus 15:3 The LORD is a man of war:
the LORD is his name.
Starting around November last year, I began to report about the signs of a huge Middle East war starting. I first noticed it when King Abdullah of Jordan spoke about the war. He said it would start over Jerusalem. Since then, nation after nation which will be involved in the Obadiah war are falling in line.
This war will turn the world upside down. The world economy will go into a tailspin as oil will go to hundreds of dollars per barrel. One of the goals of Iran is to wreck havoc with the oil shipping in the Persian Gulf. Israel will emerge victorious while entire Arab nations are going to disappear. Syria, Lebanon, Jordan and Egypt are going to cease to exist as nations. This is all clearly spelled out in the Bible. ALL the warning signs are there. Can you read them?
Last year Israel said it was ready for war. Islam hates Israel and wants it destroyed. This is driving these nations toward the war. Other Islamic nations will be drawn in.
Iran wants the war, just like Hitler wanted war. This war cannot be stopped by diplomacy. The war will start the countdown toward Armageddon and the Second Coming of Jesus Christ.
"Jones was not talking out of the top of his head, but on the strength of solid US intelligence gathered over months on detailed war plans Iran, Syria, Hizballah and Hamas have drawn up to send five Hizballah brigades sweeping across the border to seize five sectors of Galilee, while also organizing a massive Israeli-Arab uprising against the Jewish state. Hamas would open a second front in the south and in the east. Syria is expected to step in at some stage."
"Hizbullah has in the last weeks deployed advanced Syrian-made surface-to-surface M-600 missiles on the territory of Lebanon. The missiles, which according to Jane's Defence Weekly are copies of the Iranian Fateh-110 system, have a range of 250 kilometers and carry a 500-kg warhead. They bring the entirety of central Israel within Hizbullah's range. The missiles are precision-guided, meaning that in the event of renewed conflict, Hizbullah would be able to use them to target military facilities or heavily populated areas."
Zechariah 12:6 In that day will I make the governors of Judah like an hearth of fire among the wood, and like a torch of fire in a sheaf; and they shall devour all the people round about, on the right hand and on the left: and Jerusalem shall be inhabited again in her own place, even in Jerusalem.
Keep your eyes fixed on the Lord Jesus and His coming for the church. Your heart must be established on His coming or you could sink in fear. Prepare as God leads you because once this war starts, it will be too late to prepare. You might have very little time to prepare, do do not delay. If you want more information, see my book As America Has Done to Israel and the DVD: America and the Day of the LORD.
May the Holy God of Israel bless and protect you.
Israel and the Middle East War
'Iran will deliver telling blow to global powers on Feb. 11' 02/01/10 This date is the 30th anniversary of the Islamic revolution in Iran. Ahmadinejad may attempt to do something on this date.
Obadiah 1:18 And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the house of Joseph a flame, and the house of Esau for stubble, and they shall kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.

No Man Shall Glory

Revelation 8:1 When He opened the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. 2 And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and to them were given seven trumpets. 3 Then another angel, having a golden censer, came and stood at the altar. He was given much incense, that he should offer it with the prayers of all the saints upon the golden altar which was before the throne. 4 And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, ascended before God from the angel's hand. 5 Then the angel took the censer, filled it with fire from the altar, and threw it to the earth. And there were noises, thunderings, lightnings, and an earthquake.

Four years ago the Lord led Chuck and I to move to the Charlotte, NC area and the day we arrived we found the townhouse in Fort Mill, SC where we now reside. This townhouse is on the original PTL property and we can see the tall brick building from our house that was the big problem for Jim and Tammy Faye Baker.

While PTL was on this land many tell me that they felt the presence of God when they entered the property. This land and the buildings were dedicated to the Lord and the people who were drawn here to live were drawn by their love of the Lord and His presence.  Many moved here from other states for that very reason and many brought their handicapped children and moved into homes built on the property believing those children would be healed.

After the fall and closing of PTL darkness and even witchcraft encroached on the land. But those people who had come here to live  prayed, many walked the land and prayed. Several secular businesses tried to take over the land and they all failed. Malayans bought up a lot of the land and developed it and even had the control for a while, but now they are gone.

I am a firm believer that we have the authority through Christ Jesus to claim territory for the Lord. We can not walk land and claim it for ourselves when it belongs to someone else just because you want  to live there. That's lusting after what belongs to your brother.  But in the spiritual sense there are to kingdoms, the kingdom of Satan(darkness) and the Kingdom of God(light). We need to drive back the darkness and take back the land.

The Lord told Abraham in Genesis 13:17 Arise, walk in the land through its length and its width, for I give it to you."  As children of the living God we need to walk the land and pray.  I proclaim many times that where my feet step I am claiming the land under my feet for the Lord God.

The other day I was walking in one of the neighborhoods that was built when PTL was here. I had started out claiming the land. Suddenly out of my spirit I started reminding the Lord of how many prayers had gone up for this place and how those parents who brought their children here are now among the clouds of witnesses and the children are adults left behind.  I asked Him to pour out those prayers on this land and cause an explosion of His presence like not known thus far.  A huge supernatural move of the Holy Presence of God that no man can take the glory for.

This explosion is coming I believe.  It will rock the world we know. There will be no big named men/women of flesh to share the glory that is only due to our loving God. It is coming because of the prayers of the widows, hurting parents and hungry souls who remained faithful. No man shall glory.

1Corinthians 1:24 but to those who are called, both Jews and Greeks, Christ the power of God and the wisdom of God. 25 Because the foolishness of God is wiser than men, and the weakness of God is stronger than men. 26 For you see your calling, brethren, that not many wise according to the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called. 27 But God has chosen the foolish things of the world to put to shame the wise, and God has chosen the weak things of the world to put to shame the things which are mighty; 28 and the base things of the world and the things which are despised God has chosen, and the things which are not, to bring to nothing the things that are, 29 that no flesh should glory in His presence. 30 But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God--and righteousness and sanctification and redemption-- 31 that, as it is written, "He who glories, let him glory in the Lord."
