A Time Of Division-Part 1

Recently I listened to a podcast of Neville Johnson's on the sons of Zadok. On this tape he told that he had seen an angel with a sword and that there was going to be a separation in the body of Christ. Because of a dream that I had several months ago and this teaching I started studying the word and pondering.

The first stage of division that is happening is causing people to chose between ministries and/or churches. This is to be compared with the division between Saul and David's reign. The children of Israel rejected their God as king and demanded a human king, one they could see. They were warned through Samuel that this king they thought they wanted would take their sons and their daughters and servants to be used to carry out the daily routine of the king's kingdom and take their fields and a 10th of their seed and livestock. Even with the warning they insisted on a king and God gave them Saul.

The kingdom of Saul was characterized by doing things man's way without waiting on God and following His plan. It is a house full of jealousy, envy, anger, pride and a lust for control, power and position. It also went from seeking the word of the Lord from Samuel the Prophet to seeking direction from a witch with familiar spirits. The Spirit of the Living God departed from this house. It was a house full of demons that could only be temporarily brought into submission by anointed music. It was a house that turned against the chosen one of God and tried to murder him. These characteristics have been dominant in many churches and ministries today.

God rejected the house of Saul and chose a shepherd boy to become the new king. There was a period that both houses existed giving people time to decide which side they would align themselves with. One lived in a palace and had all that riches could buy at his finger tips but the spirit of God was not there. The other was anointed and appointed by God but looked like a common shepherd and lived on the run and hid in a cave. This common shepherd with rejects as an army and with no place to lay his head had all of heaven supporting him.

The word says that everyone who was in distress, everyone in debt and everyone who was discontent gathered themselves unto David. This is a good picture of the world today. These are those who gathered themselves to the seed of David, Jesus, also. These are the ones that will be gathered to the coming move of the Holy Spirit, the great revival that we are praying and for which we are anxiously awaiting.

Yes, we are now in a time of division and decision. The choice is between the house of Saul where the spirit of God has departed and the house of David where the spirit of God rests. Those that gather with the house of David may look like rejects, but they will be mighty warriors.
