It's All Eloise's Fault

The two movies about Eloise and her life at the Plaza Hotel in New York became one of Brittany's, my oldest grand daughter, favorite movies several years ago. When Brittany likes a movie she can watch it over and over and over, so we did. Soon the glamour and opportunities of New York City started grabbing Chuck Jr's heart.

Well shoot if that was not enough then he was sent to downtown New York City by his company for a week. Coincidence? I hate to admit it, but it probably was all part of a master plan. This visit and the one that followed the next year was instrumental in sealing that city in his heart.

New York City would be the last place that this southern mom  would pick for any of her family to live, but especially Chuck Jr. It is just the total opposite of his personality except for the high tech part. However, it grabbed him and it will not let go. You think he needs deliverance?

Just kidding of course. I know that your destiny is connected to a geographical location. His Dad and I have found out that the geographical location may be far away from the comfortable place you are use too. You think you have your life planned and then suddenly God puts something in your life that turns the course of your path and launches you into your destiny. If you resist the change then you will for sure delay your destiny if not miss it. Then your life will be full of regrets.

Timing is an essential ingredient. It is hard to discern when the time is right sometime. Going before God has planned or after will lead to hard times. I Chronicles 12:32 says "And of the children of Issachar, which were men that had understanding of the times, to know what Israel ought to do".

In my life it seems that God's timing is not always what looks in the natural as the right time. If you look at all the circumstances of your life you can see all the reason's why the move should be delayed. Or on the other hand you can feel the urge so strong and be so miserable where you are that you can jump when you should stand still. The Lord wants you to succeed and He wants you in the center of His will. If we seek His timing and wait upon Him then everything falls into place.

If Chuck and I had our wish our children and grandchildren would be living where we live. But we echo what the Lord prayed, "Father, not my will, but your will be done". So I guess I better start getting familiar with Jet Blue Airline.

I can't tell you exactly why I feel the way I do. I just know that I love that city and feel like I belong there. What I can tell you is that knowing what all would have to fall in place for that to happen, you would be assured it was a God thing. There's no way I can see it happening without Him.

By the way, I checked and we would actually be 70 miles closer to you, if we lived in New York! :-)
